Welcome to Sincerrey
Stables website. The stables begin with the purchase of a young purebred
Andalusian stallion from the Banbury line. The Banbury line was formed by
Sally Cleaver of Colorado in the 1960's. Sally visited Spain searching for
the typical "bull fighter's" horse with great disposition, work ethic, and would
be a family member.
Lois Hamilton purchased Gitano Rey in 1992 and began breeding him to Throughbred, Arabian and purebred Andalusians. The offspring carried his Andalusian look and disposition. A bay mare was purchased from Sally Cleaver and produced three grey purebreds. Later the mare was bred to Bravio, a versatile Andalusian stallion owned by Suzanne Sommer of Sommer Ranch in Acton, CA. The mare Banbury Piruetta, then produced four bay offspring. All the purebreds have grown to have intelligence and an elegant bearing. Sincerrey Gitano Rey is the sire of over thirty pure and partbred registered foals.
The Andalusian, also known as the Pure Spanish Horse or PRE (Pura Raza Española), is a horse breed developed in the Iberian Peninsula.
